Your music stays private. PanSphere runs on-device, does not include ad trackers, and does not transmit your playing history to us.
Overview
PanSphere is a digital handpan experience for music creation, relaxation, and mindfulness. Privacy-first behavior is part of the product design, not an afterthought.
What Stays On Your Device
- Selected scales and ambience preferences
- Free-tier usage limits and Pro entitlement state
- Session history used for local insights
- Playing-pattern analysis used by AI resonance
This information stays on your device and is removed if you delete the app or clear local data.
Permissions
PanSphere requests only the permissions needed for core product behavior:
- Motion and orientation: for gyroscope-driven lighting effects
- Audio playback: to play handpan notes and ambient environments
- Microphone: described in the iOS project for future resonance scenarios, but the current product promise is no user audio upload or server-side recording
Third-Party Services
PanSphere does not use third-party analytics SDKs, ad networks, or external tracking tools.
- Apple StoreKit: for processing in-app purchases
Cloud Sync and Backups
The current release does not create app-managed cloud backups and does not provide automatic iCloud sync for session history.
Data Sharing
Sharing is user-initiated only. If future export features such as MIDI or session files are added, they remain private until you explicitly share them through iOS system controls.
Children's Privacy
Because PanSphere does not collect personal data or transmit session content to our servers, there is no separate child profiling or tracking layer.
