Does PanSphere work offline?
Yes. The core instrument, ambience, preferences, and local session history work without a Borealbit account or server. Network access is needed for App Store product, purchase, restore, update, and support operations.
How many scales are included?
PanSphere includes nine tuned scales. Four are fully playable for free, and Pro unlocks five additional scales.
What does PanSphere Pro unlock?
Pro unlocks five premium scales and the complete rain, wind, and thunder ambience mixer. It is available only as Pro Lifetime, an optional one-time purchase that does not auto-renew.
Do I need headphones, a microphone, or other hardware?
No. PanSphere plays through your device speaker or connected audio output and does not require microphone access. Headphones are optional.
Are sessions backed up or synced automatically?
No. Session history and preferences stay on your device. The current release does not provide app-managed CloudKit or automatic iCloud synchronization.
Does PanSphere collect or track my playing?
The app does not send your sessions, note events, streaks, or preferences to Borealbit servers and does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. See the Privacy Policy for website and Apple-service details.
Is PanSphere a physical handpan or a health service?
No. PanSphere is a digital musical instrument inspired by handpan layouts. It is not a physical handpan, medical device, or therapeutic service.
